Jack Handley

Jack Handley, 92 of Vernon, Texas passed away on Friday,
July 11, 2025, in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Jack was born Monday, March 6, 1933, in Wilbarger County
to the late Henry Roland Handley and the late Berta Hardage
Handley. He married Sue Leverett on Aug. 6, 1994, in Vernon,
Texas. He owned Rolling Plains Implement Company since
1970. He received numerous sales awards from Agco. He
loved his customers, and he loved to work hard. He believed
in not 􀂿 nishing a job until it was done right. He was a proud
supporter of his community, especially the FFA and 4-H clubs.
He loved his dog, Massey and would often be caught singing to him. He was a
pilot and loved to 􀃀 y, and he also loved going to church where he was a member
of “The Small Group” at Wilbarger Street Church of Christ.
Jack is survived by his wife Sue Handley of the home, two sons, Rodney
Handley & wife Valorie and Bud Handley & wife Kathy both of Vernon, Texas,
his daughter, Rhonda Henry & husband George of Vernon, Texas, one stepson,
Chris Ballard & wife Jeannie of Vernon, Texas, and two stepdaughters, Shelly
Gee & husband Larry of Vernon, Texas and Paula Ford & husband Danny of
Justiceburg, Texas. Jack also leaves behind nine grandchildren and numerous
great-grandchildren.
Visitation was from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.,Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Wilbarger Street
Church of Christ.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Wilbarger Street
Church of Christ, with Mr. Dave Winn o􀵶 ciating. Burial followed at Wilbarger
Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to Hospice of Wichita Falls, Wilbarger County
Humane Society, or Wilbarger Street Church of Christ.
