Lena Denise Allen

Lena Denise Allen, 56 of Chillicothe, Texas passed away
on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, in Dallas, Texas.
Funeral services was held at 11 a.m., Monday, July 20,
2026, at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jonathan
Ochoa officiating.
Lena was born Wednesday, June 10, 1970, in Dallas,
Texas. She was the daughter of the late Bob Bennett and the
late Barbara Woodall Bennett. She married Loren Allen on
September 1, 1990, in Rockwall, Texas. Lena served 20
years at North Texas State Hospital where she was an
incredibly hard worker and mentor to many. When her
children were younger, Lena worked at Chillicothe ISD
where she became “Miss Lena” which is how most referred to her through the years.
She had a love for animals and was a friend to many. She had many titles and names
in life, but the one she cherished the most being Nene to her grandsons.
Lena is survived by her husband, Loren Allen of the home, two daughters, Kayla
Smith & husband Josh of Quanah, Texas and Kendra Higgins & husband Brody of
Rush Springs, Oklahoma, and her brother, Ken Doran & wife Mitzi. She also leaves
behind her five grandchildren, Gunner, Lane, Easton, Walker and Karter, a special
friend, Amber Lasater, her niece, Billie Allen, and her great-nephew, D.J.
Lena is preceded in death by her parents, Bob & Barbara Bennett and her
grandson, Kooper.
