Bryan Edward Kirk

Bryan passed away on Aug. 12, 2024, in Wichita Falls,
Texas. He was born in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. He
grew up in Vernon, Texas. He was married to the love of
his life, Rina Bedford. He had recently revealed that he
was the “happiest he had ever been!”

Born in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, he was the son of
Howard Kirk and the late Diane Mulick. He attended
Vernon High School and graduated from Midwestern
State University with a master’s degree in nursing. He
worked at the NTSH as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse
Practitioner for 26 years. He was awarded employee of
the quarter in May of 2009. An accomplishment he was
most proud. He had a passion for trains (named after his
grandfather, Edward was a retired Union Pacific Railroad conductor) and as much
as he loved being a Nurse Practitioner he jokingly but seriously told us that he
wanted to be a sanitation driver for the city!!
He is survived by “the love of his life” (his words) his wife, Rina, his father,
Howard Kirk, and his wife Kris Kirk along with his two children Bree and Molly
Kirk. Bryan was a huge fan of the Chicago Cubs, but his favorite sports team of all
time was the Chicago Bears. He was a quiet man but never too quiet to share his
wealth of information of all things, SPORTS! He would tell us “they (the Bears)
just sucked!” Bryan is also survived by his sisters, Kymberly Cullar (Chloe,
Claire, and Connor Edward). Kelly Toris (Olivia, Sophia, and Natalia), and
Kristen Caplinger and her husband, John. (Hannah, Jonah, Jeriah, and Priscilla).
His great nieces; Layla Jo Cullar and Eliana Cullar, great nephews Jeremiah and
John Caplinger and his and Rina’s buddy (son as they referred to him), Bear (yes
named for his passion of the Chicago Bears!!) his beloved Saint Bernard.
Bryan was preceded in death by his mother, Diane Mulick.
Bryan’s long time family childhood friends: Phillip Morrison, Jason Nava and
his brothers (Billy, Bryan, and Brandon) Joseph Robeson and Martin Valverde.
A memorial with the opening of a new clinic that will be named in his honor
will be held at a future date.
