Updated volleyball playoff scores, schedules for Vernon, Northside, Crowell, Harrold

Class 3A playoffs

Vernon lost its 3A bi-district playoff game against Peaster 25-16, 25-10, 25-18 on Tuesday, Nov. 6 in a match played at Windthorst. Standouts for Vernon included Mari Johnson 6 kills, 5 digs; Key’Maria McBride 4 kills, 9 digs; Klancy Sherrill 9 digs.

Class A playoffs

The No. 24 state ranked Crowell Lady Wildcats opened the 1A playoffs with a bi-district win on Monday, Nov. 4 in four sets over Forestburg 18-25, 25-11, 25-15, 25-19 in a game played at Iowa Park. Top players included Kyla Templeton with 16 kills, Kennadi Decker with 14 kills and 2 blocks and Sage Bearden with 36 assists for the Lady Wildcats.
The Lady Wildcats advance to the Area Round to face District 12 champion Woodson on Thursday, in Munday at 6 p.m. Crowell is the 2nd seed out of 1-A District 9.

The District 1A-9 3rd seed, Northside, played Tuesday against Prairie Valley with Prairie Valley getting the win in five tough sets 25-16, 25-19, 22-25, 20-25, 15-13. The Lady Bulldogs advance to play the winner of District 11, Garner.

The District 1A-9’s No. 1 seed, and also the state ranked No. 1 team, the Harrold Lady Hornets had a first round bye and will face Strawn, runner-up from District 12 on Saturday at 11 a.m. in Windthorst.
