Vernon building permits total $66,690 in September

A $12,000 awning and a $10,000 house addition led construction activity here in September when 12 building permits totaling $66,690 were issued by the City of Vernon. That’s ahead of the six building permits issued in Vernon during September 2017, with a total value of $30,038. See more in Sunday’s Vernon Record.

K9 now on patrol in Vernon

Vernon Police Department K9 handler Quinton Hall presented the Police Department’s K9 “Jak” at a ceremony on Wednesday at City Hall. Jak received his badge was introduced to officers and members of the community. He is now working the streets. See more in Sunday’s edition of the Vernon R ecord.

Lion tennis claims District crown
