Juanita Joyce “JJ” Hardy Vaughn
Juanita Joyce “JJ” Hardy Vaughn, age 80, of Arlington, Texas fell asleep in death on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018.
Services will be held Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Sullivan’s Funeral Home in Vernon, Texas.
Officiating will be Michael Sanders, her grandson and an Elder in the Jefferson, Texas Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Interment will be at Eastview Cemetery in Vernon, Texas. Officiating will be Anthony Fry, her grandson and an Elder in the Jefferson, Texas Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
JJ was born in Seymour, Texas on May 13, 1938. She was the daughter of Bessie M. Morgan Hardy Smith and Lucius K. Hardy.
On April 17, 1953 JJ married the Love of her Life, Kenneth Wayne Vaughn.
He preceded her in death on July 25, 1989. What a Reunion that will be when they both wake up in Paradise Earth! John 5:28,29
JJ symbolized her Dedication to Jehovah God by water Baptism on Dec. 3, 1983. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses JJ loved sharing Bible Truths with everyone she met.
She loved living in Arlington. It was her home for the past 44 years. She had been living with family near Jefferson, Texas at the time of her death.
JJ is survived by her daughter Kathy and her husband Jesse Fry; her granddaughter Traci and her husband Michael Sanders; her grandson Anthony Fry and his wife Laura, all of Jefferson, Texas; great-granddaughter Sonja and her husband Sabastian and their daughter River Blay of Weatherford, Texas; great-granddaughter Anais Mendoza of California and Arlington, Texas; two brothers, Curtis Smith of Little Elm, Texas and Marvin Smith of Roseburg, Oregon; two sisters; Cynthia Ward of Mississippi and Teresa Cain of Spring, Texas; brother-in-law Norman Vaughn and his wife Judy of Fort Worth, Texas; great-nephew Ian Sividon-Smith and his Mom Lois of Little Elm, Texas; as well as nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
