Manhunt ends on the Waggoner Ranch

A Vernon man was booked into the Wilbarger County Jail on Friday after he allegedly tried to run over a Vernon Police Officer and then led officers on a chase that ended on the Waggoner Ranch.
Shawn Andrew Benson was charged with aggravated assault on a public servant with a motor vehicle, evading arrest with a motor vehicle and felon in possession of a firearm according to Vernon Police Chief Randy Agan.
