Chillicothe ISD trustees call $7.5 millon bond issue election
CHILLICOTHE – Chillicothe ISD trustees unanimously approved an order to call a May 4 bond issue election for projects at the elementary and high school campuses during a monthly business meeting Tuesday, Feb. 12.
The election is for $7.5 million bond issue to construct a new cafeteria at the elementary school and convert the present cafeteria into additional classroom space. It also includes the construction of a new vocational ag facility at the high school. The new facilities will each have 6,000 square-feet of space compared to just 2,000 square-feet for present facilities. The bond issue also includes related projects such as a bus ramp and parking area at the new elementary school cafeteria along with a new parking area for the vocational ag facility.
