Janice Pearl Browning, age 87 of Vernon, Texas, passed away Sunday, Nov. 8, 2020 in Wichita Falls, TexasMemorial service will be Thursday, Nov. 12, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel. Offi ciating will be Rev. Paul Neuberger.Janice was born June 20, 1933 in Jean, Texas. She was the daughter of the late James Granville Horton and the late Etna Pearl Boyle Horton. She married Kenneth Browning on Aug. 17, 1951 in Lubbock, Texas. He preceded her in death Dec. 18, 2002. She moved to Vernon in 1960. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.Janice’s proudest accomplishment was raising her fi ve daughters. She was a very faithful blood donor and gave numerous gallons over the years. She babysat for many years. She loved all of the children she kept and they loved her. She talked about them often after she retired. Some would stop in to see her on occasion when they got older. She was “Gram” to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and the children she babysat.She is survived by her fi ve daughters Donna Wagner of Tenn., Jan Kieschnick of Vernon, Texas., Debbie Tabor of Vernon, Texas., Julie Schur of Knox City, Texas, and Sherry Simmering of Wichita Falls, Texas; her triplet sisters Agnes Stamps of Fort Worth, Texas, and Annice Chorn of Albuquerque, N.M. Grandchildren are Micki Nelson, Erica Robertson, Kendi Maruska, Clint Kieschnick, Kristi Olson, Meredith Brocklehurst, McKenzie Wilkes, Meagan Raines, Jessy Shaver, Jason Hughes, and Ashley Hughes.
