Vernon lost phone service after AT&T line cut
Phone service in Vernon was out for several days after a contractor for another utility doing work in Vernon cut the main AT&T line in town on Thursday.
The cut affected both residential and commercial hard-line customers.

Vernon City Manager Marty Mangum reported City Hall service was restored Monday morning. Some customers on Monday reported receiving phone calls meant for other local businesses as the connections appeared to still be jumbled.
There were still 35 outages in Vernon reported Tuesday afternoon. All phone service was expected to be restored Tuesday night.
