Local youth excel at state livestock shows
Coye Conner attended the Texas Elite Showcase Breeding gilt Show. Coye had a successful couple of days showing as he exhibited the 1st place light weight Cross bred gilt and the 4th place light weight Berkshire gilt.
Lyric Thompson, Brady Lemon, and Cooper Lemon exhibited breeding goats and breeding ewe lambs in San Antonio. Brady Lemon exhibited the 13th place breeding ewe and Cooper Lemon exhibited the 8th place breeding doe.
Wilbarger County 4-Hers Heston Hall, Cutter Hall, Kameron Hooker, Kloe Hooker, Presley Lehman, Keaton Crownover, Brayden Booth, and Coleton Booth all exhibited barrows at the San Angelo Livestock Show. Kameron Hooker exhibited the 1st place cross bred barrow, Keaton Crownover exhibited the 6th place crossbred
barrow, and Cutter Hall exhibited the 6th place light weight hamp. Also exhibiting barrows at San Angelo were Vernon FFA members Ryder Rodriguez, and Hadleigh Rodriguez.
At the San Antonio Market Goat and Market Lamb Show, Cooper and Brady Lemon exhibited both market lambs and market goats, Gunnar Krieg exhibited market goat and Kenzie Dobbs exhibited a market Lamb.
In the market barrow show at San Antonio, Wilbarger County 4-hers Lavery Gonzales, Taylor Reeves, Kasen Ramsey, Carli White, Brayden Booth, Coleton Booth, Khloe Hooker, Kameron Hooker, Heston Hall, Cutter
Hall, Mackie Bria, Presley Lehman, Keaton Crownover, Coye Conner, all exhibited market barrows. Also exhibiting were Vernon FFA members Brooke Myers, McKyla Myers, Ryder Rodriguez, and Hadleigh Rodriguez. Northside FFA Members Kenzie Reeves, Eli Ramsey and Julia Maldonado, Harrold FFA Member Kinsler Ramsey.
