Tuesday, following a ribbon cutting. The pad operates from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily by push-button
The spray area of the splash pad is over 1,733 square feet and includes 16 different spray features manufactured by Water Odyssey that are perfect for toddlers to teens. Benches, shade, trash receptacles and picnic seating will be incorporated into the outer ring of the dry zone. No standing water provides additional safety for children, eliminating the need for lifeguards.
The cost is $200,000, with $40,000 coming from a grant from the Priddy Foundation. The project is also funded partially by the voluntary contribution citizens can make with their water bills.
