Eugene Elmer “Elmo” Kieschnick, 81 of Vernon, Texas, died on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021, in Vernon, Texas.Services were held Monday, Nov. 8, 2021, at Zion Lutheran Church.Eugene was born Thursday, May 2, 1940 in Vernon, Texas. He was the son of the late Walter Kieschnick and the late Freida SchurKieschnick. He married Wanda Atkission on Sept. 1, 1962 in Vernon. She preceded him in death on Dec. 1, 2009. He was a farmer and he worked at North Texas State Hospital Motor Pool Supervisor. He loved restoring old tractors, repairing and restoring vintage tractors for people all across the United States, John Deere, Moline, Massey-Harris and Avery tractors were some of his favorites. He loved his family dearly. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church he helped with Zion Lutheran BBQ and made the German Sausage. Eugene is survived by his two daughters, Tammy Suzanne Kieschnick Vincent and husband Kenneth of Vernon, Texas and Kerri McKeever of Wichita Falls, Texas, brother, Robert Kieschnick of Vernon, Texas, three sisters, Edna Sitz of Midland, Texas, Janice Evans of Wichita Falls, Texas and Gladys Dudley of Fort Worth, Texas; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, his son Lynndall Kieschnick in 2001 and a brother Walter Allen Kieschnick.
