Margaret Pauline Reinisch
Margaret Pauline Reinisch, 93 of Oklaunion, Texas
went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Jan.
25, 2022, in Vernon, Texas.
Funeral service were Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022 at 10
a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Officiating was
Rev. Steven Brummett. Interment was held at
Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan
Funeral Home. Visitation was Friday, Jan. 28, 2022
at 6 to 7 p.m. at Sullivan Funeral Home.
She was born on May 9, 1928 to Herman and
Bobbett Roth Husfeld in Bowie, Texas. She was
baptized in 1928 and confirmed in the Lutheran faith
in 1942 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Bowie,
Texas. She graduated from Bowie High School and
worked in grocery retail business in Bowie prior to
her marriage to Gerhard Reinisch on April 29, 1956.
Together they have farmed cotton and wheat for
many years. She loved farm life and being on the
farm, and she was an avid gardener who always
produced an abundance of a wide variety of
vegetables. She was especially proud of her more
than forty varieties of Irises’ which were a beauty to
beheld.
Margaret was an exceptional cook and baker and was known for her one-of-a-
kind Chocolate Pie and German Chocolate Cake is which she lovingly made from
scratch. After her marriage she and her husband Gerhard were a long-time member
of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Harrold, Texas. She was a very faithful woman
who loved to serve her Lord in any way she could. When something needed to be
done, she was always there. She taught Vacation Bible School for many years and
helped also with arts and crafts for the children. She served as Treasurer of the
Women’s Society of Immanuel and was active on many committees and worked
hard serving funeral meals, organizing annual church picnic meals and numerous
church functions. When she was needed, she was always there. She was a blessing
to so many people who knew and loved her and learned from her constant Christian
example. She firmly believed that our purpose on this earth is to serve the Lord by
serving others. Margaret believed that we should be constantly trying to bring
others to know Jesus as their Savior by our witness and the example we set.
She is preceded in death by her husband Gerhard Reinisch Oct. 19, 2012, and
infant son Stephen Reinisch, her brothers Walter and Melvin Husfeld and a sister
Evalyn Husfeld also preceded her in death.
She is survived by one daughter Alesia Reinisch of the home. She is also
survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
