Thomas “Tom” Nelson,

Thomas “Tom” Nelson, 76, of Wichita Falls, passed
away on Jan. 25, 2022.
The family received friends at a visitation on Jan.
28, at Lunn’s Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services
were at 10 a.m. on Jan. 29, at First Baptist with Dr.
Bob McCartney officiating. A graveside service was
held this week for family. Arrangements are under the
direction of Lunn’s Colonial Funeral Home.
A son of the late James Nelson and Jewel (Colvin),
Tom was born on Aug. 31, 1945, in Henderson, Texas.
Tom was a veteran of the Airforce who served in
Vietnam. He graduated from Texas Tech University
where he met the future love of his life, Linda, that he
would go on to marry many years later. Tom went on
to be a certified public accountant where he practiced
for over 40 years. He was a devoted husband and
father that loved his family with all his heart. He was
a
man that enjoyed collecting and fiddling with many
hobbies such as guns, antiques and model trains. Tom
was a God-fearing man that was strong in his faith. He was a humble man who
loved to share his knowledge of the Bible. He taught men’s Bible study in his last
years and made many good friends there.
Tom was preceded in death by his father and mother; sister, Jimmye Sharrer; and
brother Robert Nelson.
He is survived by loving wife Linda Nelson; son James Blair Nelson; daughter in
law Heather; son Chris Thomsen; daughter in law LeAnn; daughter Kimberly
Nelson Cox; son in law Brian; daughter Leslie Thomsen Youmans; son in law Brian
Youmans; grandchildren Wesley Gambs, Luke Gambs, Parker Nelson and Thomas
Cox; great-grand daughter Addie; brother Lesley Nelson; nephew Jon Nelson; nieces
Dr. Kristen Nelson McMillan and Kathe Nelson, his other brother Wesley Nelson
and his wife Janet, nephew James Robert Nelson, nieces Angela Oswald and Pam
Raney
