‘End of Watch’ vigil at VC

Vernon College Police Officer Greg Young died from complications of Covid-19, acquired in the line-of-duty in September 2021. Young was one of approximately 600 fallen officers killed in the line of duty across the United States in 2021.
This past weekend a memorial was held in the parking lot of the Osborne Administration building at Vernon College to honor Young. Law enforcement officers from surrounding agencies, as well as family and friends were in attendance. Young’s widow Andrea and their young son Graeme, were the honored guests.
The memorial was in conjunction with the End of Watch Ride to Remember. This is a group of motorcycle riders from the state of Washington escorting a 40-foot trailer across the country to honor fallen officers from the prior year.
