Ag support program set for Thursday

A program on the importance of AG support will be presented by Texas A&M AgrLife Extension Services on Thursday, Oct. 13, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Electra Chamber of Commerce, 112 W. Clevelland in Electra.
A free meal will be served at 6 p.m., followed by the program. To attend RSVP by Monday, Oct. 10.
Iopics and speakers will be: “Programs for Conservation” by Eileen Vale, NRCS, Iowa Park, (Site evaluations, improving wildlife and your land, cost sharing, etc.); “Funds for Drought Assistance” by Kathy Bailes, ESA, Archer and Wichita counties, (Partial payment for financial losses due to drought. Low interest loans and more.
Also, “Understanding Rainfall Insurance” by Davey Jones, Ag Defense Risk Management, Elgin, Okla.
