Carnegie Library to host ‘Circle of Write’ event Saturday
It is a little-known fact that Wilbarger County, for as small a population as we have, is home to quite a few authors. They cover nearly the whole spectrum of writing genres from fiction to self-help and everything in-between.
From 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Dec. 3, the Carnegie City – County Library at 2810 Wilbarger St. will be hosting the Circle of Write event in support of local authors. This will give the public a chance to meet at least ten local authors from various genres and get their books autographed by their favorite. It will also present the opportunity to discover and have a look at some of the works by these authors.
The authors that will be available to autograph and discuss their books will be:
– Shelly Stringer, romance
– Jerry Witt, western
– Andrew Brandt, young adult
– Michael Crabtree, screenwriter
– Pricilla Ayala Boatman, self -help
– Diane Smithwick, mystery
– W.B. Humphrey, fiction
– Colby Hardison, children’s
– Hannaba Welch, songwriter
– Mark Finn, biography
The public is invited to come out to the library and get to meet these authors in person and support their efforts. Books will be available for purchase and may be signed and dedicated by their authors. This might be a perfect time to pick up a Christmas gift for that reader on your Christmas list.
