County to get new voting machines

The Wilbarger County Commissioners Court approved the purchase of new voting machines to meet the new standards set out by the Texas Legislature. The voting machines will be from Hart Intercivic for a total cost of $145,637.20.
County Judge Greg Tyra stated that the county was receiving a grant under the Help America Vote Act of $120,000 to help off set the cost of the new machines.
