Red Flag Warning for Wednesday afternoon
Critical Fire Weather Conditions Expected Wednesday RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 8 PM CST THIS EVENING FOR PARTS OF WESTERN OKLAHOMA AND WESTERN NORTH TEXAS FOR LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY, DRY FUELS, AND BREEZY CONDITIONS The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a Red Flag Warning for Critical fire weather conditions, which is in effect from noon today to 8 PM CST this evening. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.
- Timing: 12 pm to 8 pm.
- Winds: West 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.
- Relative Humidity: As low as 15 percent.
- Temperatures: 70 to 80 degrees.
Impacts
Any fires that develop could spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
