Fraticelli announces reelection bid
Dustin Fraticelli has announced his intention to run for a second term as a Commissioner, Place 4 for the City of Vernon.
“It has been a privilege and honor to serve the citizens of Vernon in this capacity,” he stated.
“During the last couple of years, the commission members and city staff have been able to accomplish several key issues such as, issuance of a $12,000,000 Certificate of Obligation to replace eight and a half miles of water distribution lines to the City of Vernon. An Economic Development Grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration in the amount of $2,930,000 ($1,000,000 matching spend) to replace approximately three additional miles of the same 24-inch water distribution line. Continued renovations, in the amount of $8,000,000, to the City’s Wastewater Treatment Plant Waste Water Treatment Plant. The successful opening of Vernon fist “Splash Pad” at Allingham Park. The approval of two blanaced budgets which included additional full time employees and investment in our current employees. As a commision member, I feel like myself and fellow members have worked well with city staff to keep the city moving in the right direction.
“Elected city officials have many official responsibilities. Essential ingredients for the proper job performance of a city commissioner is a thorough knowledge of the community, its people, and its problems.
“One of my goals as a City Commissioner is to openly listen to the concerns of citizens within the City of Vernon. I believe if we continue to work together, we can, and will, build an even greater community to live in.
“Thank you for your support.”
