Driver Extricated From Tanker Truck Wreckage

First responders were called at approximately 1:30 p.m. Wednesday to FM 433 West and FM 2074 for the report of an overturned tanker truck.

The truck, pulling a tanker loaded with fresh water, overturned onto the left shoulder of FM 433 West at FM 2074, causing major damage to the truck’s cab, trapping the driver.

Vernon Fire Department and Wilbarger County Sheriff’s Department personnel worked approximately one hour to extricate the driver.

Once freed, the driver was taken to an air ambulance waiting at the scene for transport to a regional hospital.
