Description:  Preliminary investigation revealed that Vehicle 1 was traveling southeast on US 287. Vehicle 2 and its towed unit were also traveling southeast on 287, ahead of Vehicle 1. Vehicle 1 failed to control speed and struck the rear end of Vehicle 2’s towed unit. The driver of Vehicle 1 was pronounced deceased on the scene due to injuries sustained from the crash.
