Christopher Michael
Christanelli, 43, of Vernon,
Texas, passed away on Thursday,
Sept. 14, 2023, in Vernon, Texas.
Funeral services were held
on Monday, Sept. 18, 2023, at
10 a.m. at the Sullivan Funeral
Home Chapel. Burial followed
at Wilbarger Memorial Park
under the direction of Sullivan
Funeral Home.
Chris was born Monday, Nov.
26, 1979, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was the son of
James Michael Christanelli and Sue Taylor Christanelli.
Chris was a graduate of Vernon High School Class of
1998. Chris graduated from Texas Tech University with
a Bachelor of Marketing and General Business and a
minor in English.
After his college graduation, Chris began his business
career working as a partner with his father at Jim
Christanelli Ford and All-Star Autoplex in Vernon and
AllStar Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury in Duncan, Okla.
Chris became a State Farm Agent in Henrietta, Texas.
He later partnered with his father, opening C&C Motor
Company in Vernon.
Chris was an avid sportsman. He loved hunting and
􀂿 shing, especially with his father and grandfather who
taught him at an early age.
Chris loved his children dearly. He loved attending
Tabor and Carter’s sporting events and was immensely
proud of them. Chris loved to read and had a deep faith
in God.
Christopher is survived by his parents Jim and Sue
Christanelli of Vernon, Texas, a son, Carter Michael
Christanelli of Quanah, Texas; a daughter Tabor
Joy Christanelli of Lubbock, Texas; his maternal
grandmother, Delita Taylor of Caddo; sister Gina
Patterson and husband Chad of Waxahachie, Texas;
“Special” sister, Marnie Skouby and husband Mike
of Perry, Okla.; along with eight nieces and nephews,
Cooper Anne Barahona and husband Javier and their
son, Valor, Creed Gentry, Cortt Gentry, Copelynn
Patterson, Conleigh Patterson, Call Patterson, Michael
Anne Weathers and husband Andrew and Caleb Skouby.
Christopher leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles,
cousins, and friends.
Christopher is preceded in death by his paternal
grandparents Steve and Thamer Christanelli, maternal
grandfather D.C. Taylor and one niece Braylyn McCall
Patterson.
