Fatality accident reported south of Altus

Fatality collision occurred 10-23-2023 at approximately 0734 hours on S County Road 210 just south of the intersection of E County Road 168 in Jackson County, approximately 5 miles southeast of Altus, Oklahoma.

Vehicle-1: 2016 Ford F350 driven by Jeremy Wayne Lamar (SIC) white male. age 45, of Tipton, OK. Pronounced dead at the scene from head and trunk internal injuries, by Jackson County EMS.

What Happened: Vehicle 1 was northbound on S County Road 210 and departed the roadway west into a culvert causing the vehicle to overturn one and a half times coming to rest on its top. Driver was pinned for approximately two and a half hours before being freed by the Altus Fire Department.
