Entries sought for Lighted Christmas Parade

The 2023 Annual Lighted Christmas Parade will begin at 6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 9, in downtown Vernon.
Participants must be at the corner of Fannin and Maiden Street where the parade route begins and ends at 5 p.m. in order to get a number and position in line for the parade.
Entry must not have a Santa Claus as there will be a Santa Claus at the end of the parade. Each entry
must have lights, the more lights and decorations makes the entry looks magical and catches everyone eyes.
Judges will look at originality, effort, lighting, appearance overall.
Entries may be floats and vehicles with $300 first prize and $200 for second prize. Golf carts, ATVs and Razors are $100 for first prize and $50 for second prize. Motorcycles and horse carriages are $100 for first prize and $50 for second prize.-
