Lions football season tickets going on sale

Vernon Lions football is just six weeks away. The 2024 season opens with the Lions on the road in Burkburnett on Aug. 30. After that, the Lions will play 6 of their remaining 9 regular-season games in the jungle they call home — Leo Brittain Field at Lion Stadium.

Reserve seat season tickets for those 6 home games are now on sale to Lions fans who purchased reserve seats last year. Those fans have until July 25 to reclaim their seats. Reserve seat season tickets go on sale to the general public on July 29.

Tickets can be purchased at the Vernon ISD Administrative Center. A reserve seat pack for the 6-game home season is $36. Please pay for reserve seat season tickets by check or cash.

This season the Lions will be hosting: Sept. 6 — Gainesville (Homecoming); Sept. 13 — City View; and Sept. 20 — Frederick in non-district action; and District 3-3A, Division II opponents Oct. 10 — Ponder; Oct. 25 — Bowie; and Nov. 8 — Peaster (Senior Night).
